How to Make DIY Holiday Bath Bombs (+ Printable Gift Tags)

During the holidays it’s so much fun to give gifts to everyone you love in your life! However, finding gifts that are impressive and inexpensive to give in bulk can be difficult. Bath bombs are a great solution to this problem.

Bath bombs, the balls that you throw in your bubble bath and emit a variety of scents, can be found at stores like Lush and Bath and Body Works. They are also surprisingly easy to make on your own, at home.

All you’ll need are a few simple ingredients:

  • Baking Soda – 1 cup
  • Citric Acid – ½ cup
  • Epsom Salt – ½ cup
  • Cornstarch – ½ cup
  • Coconut Oil – 2 ½ tablespoons, melted
  • Water – ¾ tablespoon
  • Essential Oils – 12-15 drops
  • Coloring Pigment – Optional
  • Bath Bomb Molds

From there, just mix the dry ingredients, mix the wet ingredients, then combine them both in a bowl. From there, you can use the molds to create balls. If you’d like to get fancy you can incorporate fun things like herbs or flowers for decoration.

For in-depth instructions and tons of recipes, you can visit our friends over at FragranceX. They built an in-depth article on how to make holiday scented bath bombs. They also created some really cute printable gift tags that I’m sharing with you today.

You can download the printables here. The tags are super stylish and can be used to wrap up your new bath bombs as handy gifts. I recommend using cellophane wrap to wrap up your bath bombs either individually and tie them with a ribbon. Then you can print out these gift tags, cut them out and attach them to the ribbon.

If you’d like to get really fancy, you can add some bubble bath, body wash or a loofa to a basket along with the decorated bath bombs for a “treat yourself” goody bag. There are really so many options.
