Guest Bedroom Makeover Week 4
It is week 4 in my guest bedroom makeover! If you need to get caught up check out Week 1, Week 2 and Week 3.
Almost Done…
Last week I tackled painting the bed and the dresser. This week I painted the armoire. Below is the before picture.
First, I took off all the old hardware and touched up any holes with some wood filler.
Then, I used the same white paint as I did for the rest of the furniture in this room. Bright white furniture paint from Lowes.
It still needs a bit of touching up but overall it looks pretty good. I even organized the inside and got rid of a bunch of old sheets, pillow cases, etc that we never use, that were just taking up space.
Lastly, I replaced the hardware with these knobs and these handles found on Amazon. Below is the after…
(by the way….why is it so hard to fold a dang fitted sheet. No matter how many times I try and how many videos I watch I still can’t do it. LOL)
New Artwork…
This is the thing I am most excited about. I have been searching for the perfect item to hang behind the bed and finally found it on Amazon. Check out these woven seagrass wall hangings. They are so gorgeous in person. They are also huge. I love them so much. They have a very Boho Chic coastal vibe to them, which I guess is the look I am going for.
What’s Left???
I STILL haven’t decided if I am going to paint the walls. I really should, as this color is a little ‘tired’. It also appears yellowish in these pictures, but I think it is more beige in real life. Anyway, I guess I am just being lazy and am a little tired of painting right now. 🙁 Help motivate me and decide on a color!!!
I also STILL need to get rid of a bunch of things in here. This is another thing I am dreading cause what the heck do I do with it all? Sell it? Donate it? I suppose it will be a little of both.
Decide what to do with the mirror? Paint it? Leave it as is? Use the remaining wall paper on it?
How do you think it looks so far?
