DIY Wine Cork Flag

DIY Wine Cork Flag

I made this cute wine cork flag after seeing a similar one on Hometalk. It was easy and didn’t take to long to make, and I already had all the materials on hand. Here is how I made my DIY Wine Cork Flag…

Step 1, DIY Wine Cork Flag…

To start, I cut a piece of cardboard using an old shoe box to use as a base to glue the corks to. Then I started playing around with a layout. I decided on using 10 corks across and 7 total rows. Then I alternated red and white corks for the stripes of the flag. I prefer red wine so have a lot of red sided corks. For the ‘white’ you can just flip the cork over.

Step 2, DIY Wine Cork Flag…

Once they were all glued down, I used some paint I had on hand for the ‘stars’. Then I created a star stencil and some white paint to make the stars. They are certainly not perfect, but I am okay with that.

Here is the final product. Good for Memorial Day, July 4th, or use ALL year long. You could also use it as a trivet in the kitchen
